Here is how it works
RESERVATION & DAMAGE DEPOSIT
For the Rental Reservation deposit we will run your card for a $50 deposit which will be applied to rental cost when you check in. If you cancel at least 48 hours before your reservation time starts we will refund your deposit or reschedule your rental. If you cancel within the 48 hours of your rental start time it will be not be refunded. Must be 21 years or older to rent.
For the damage deposit the person responsible for the rental contract needs to provide a credit/debit card, as well as a pre-authorization for the listed damage deposit amount. The card holder must be present with a state issued ID.
CHECKING IN
We recommend you arrive at the store about 40 minutes prior to your rental where we do all the paper work; asking for identification, collect rental fee, damage deposit (verify funds available $250-$1000 depending upon model), sign waivers, fill out a form for OSMB, etc. This will require the cardholder for the rental, as well as any additional drivers need to be present. We recommend dropping off all items and people in the loading zone that you do not wish to carry. Please take time to watch our safety videos for the rental you have that will speed up the check out. If you plan to drive the boat you can get your Oregon boaters card ahead of time (if you are from out of state this does not apply to you). Here is the link Oregon State Boaters Card.
LOADING ZONE & PARKING
We have a 15 minute loading and unloading zone located by the marina store to drop your people and gear off. We have 2 levels of parking just down the Brientenbush road about 300′ and to the right. The parking can get busy and tight to turn around in so we don’t not allow trailers in the lot.
GOING DOWN TO THE DOCK
If possible have your party all together when you go down to the docks and wait in the assigned waiting area. Only the person responsible for the rental and drivers will go with the staff at this time review our safety check out list covering operational topics, condition of equipment, safety items location, overview of rules and laws, and items to avoid damage. We will provide all safety related items (life jackets, throw cushions, anchors etc.) for the rental. We encourage customers to wear foot protection and appropriate clothing based upon conditions.
GETTING HERE
We are Located at 115 Brientenbush Road Detroit Oregon 97342. coming from Salem on highway 22 turn left after the bridge. Coming from Sisters go thru town and the last turn before you go over the bridge turn right.
